Indonesian Volcano Spews a Beautiful Blue Fire

It isn't lava, well at least the blue part isn't. It is molten sulfur igniting as it hits the atmosphere, creating a blue flame that is more visible than the bright yellow molten sulfur.

Molten sulfur is amazing stuff, it looks like melted butter, with a temperature at least of 125C, so don't touch. It's also fairly sticky so touching it means at least a second degree burn. Once you light it you get SO2 which is the rotten egg smell.
